System requirements For Adobe Illustrator 8.0 Instalation
To use Adobe Illustrator, you need the following hardware and software:
• A hard drive with at least 50 MB of free space. You’ll need additional disk space if you work with very large image files.
• At least 32 MB of random-access memory (RAM) (for Mac OS, with 20 MB available to Adobe Illustrator).
• A CD/DVD-ROM disk drive.
For the best performance, Adobe Systems recommends the following hardware and software:
• 95 MB of hard disk space.
• 64 MB or more of RAM.
• A 24-bit (millions of colors) video display card.
• A PostScript(R) printer.
N.B: Adobe Illustrator performance improves with more RAM, faster CPUs, and faster and larger hard disk drives.

Installing Adobe Illustrator:
You must install the application from the Application CD onto your hard disk drive; you cannot run the program from the CD/DVD.
If you’re upgrading to Adobe Illustrator 8.0 from an earlier version, the installer creates by default a new folder containing the new Adobe Illustrator files but your current Illustrator files are not affected.
How to install the Adobe Illustrator program? (for Windows):
1. Start Windows OS, if it is not already running.
2. Insert the Application CD disc into your CD/DVD ROM drive.
3. Explore CD/DVD. Open the Illustrator folder and double-click the Setup.exe file.
4. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the program files (click I agree, Next, Next etc). A message appears when the installation is complete. Click Finish.
How to install the Adobe Illustrator program? (for Mac OS):
1. Turn off or remove any virus-protection software then restart your computer.
2. Insert the Application CD disc into your CD/DVD-ROM drive.
3. Double-click the Install Adobe Illustrator 8.0 icon.
4. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the program files. A message appears when the installation is complete.
N.B: If you’re upgrading from an earlier version of Adobe Illustrator, the installer may ask you to locate the previously installed version, or insert the original CD or floppy diskette for verification. Follow the on-screen instructions.
